Welcome to Hillary Abplanalp Music. This website features music by several LDS composers and artists. Hillary Mann Abplanalp is an LDS singer/songwriter who has been writing and performing all her life. She began early vocal training with Diana Noble. Hillary grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, lived in the East Valley until High School where she moved to the West Valley and attended Glendale High School. She was the two time National Choral Student of the Year in 1995 and 1996 and the lead in her high school musical "The Apple Tree" where she played Eve. Hillary went to Brigham Young University and was coached by musical greats such as Mack Wilberg and Clayne Robinson.
She later founded and operated the Hillmin School of Music in Mesa and directed Michael McLean's Forgotten Carol's choir in 2001. She was the choir, band and orchestra teacher at Sequoia Secondary school in Mesa, AZ for several years and was later a grantwriter and webmaster for Sequoia Schools. She is currently busy being a mom and does a little web design on the side. She has the best husband in the world and is so grateful for him. She comes from a large musical family with six sisters and two brothers. She currently lives in the North East Valley with her husband and 5 beautiful children. She has written music for several YM/YW annual themes and ward/stake functions. She most recently was selected to sing in and record Rob Gardner's work "The Lamb of God" featuring the London Symphony Orchestra. She is currently collaborating with Dave Hutzler and her sister Christy Mann on a country album called What You Need. |
